How would you spend a thousand dollars? Case IH wants to know.
Case IH is giving away a $1,000 Visa gift card with new tractors sold between now and 30 September, so has been asking farmers what they would do if they happened upon an unexpected $1,000.
A recent poll revealed that half of them would take a holiday. "Many farmers told us that they'd like to get away and just enjoy a bit of a break with their families. A lot of them said that they don't often get a holiday but if they were given a thousand dollars to spend however they wanted, a few days away would be very welcome," said Case IH Brand Manager for tractors, John Dreves.
Of those who would opt for a holiday, more than half said they'd like to go somewhere within Australia. "That's good news for local communities," John said. "Even those farmers who would spend the money on something other than a holiday generally said they'd spend it locally."
While holiday was the most popular response, the polled farmers had lots of other ideas about what they might spend an unexpected $1,000 on, from luxury items like jewellery to household appliances and toys for the kids.
"We think our famers deserve to choose a reward for themselves and their families, and that's why we decided to offer a $1,000 gift card with new Case IH tractors. They can choose to spend it however they like, so they can enjoy something they really want as well as getting something their farming business needs - a great tractor."
