Case IH's Pro Harvest trailer is on the road again, helping local dealerships in the Eastern states to keep contractors and farmers up and running this harvest season.
For the fifth year running, the distinctive Pro Harvest trailer will begin the journey south, aiming to stay within 300 kilometres of peak harvest activity. Starting from St George, Queensland, the mobile parts warehouse gives Case IH dealers in the peak harvest areas fast access to a wide range of parts they don't normally carry and might otherwise have been freighted from Sydney.
The trailer is a mobile parts warehouse carrying more than 6,800 individual parts covering everything from transmissions and drives to gearboxes and windscreens. Customers needing repairs can contact their local Case IH dealer who will liaise with the support trailer and deliver the part.
"Last year a contractor broke down at 10 pm on a Friday night and the local dealership didn't stock the part he needed. Ordering it from Sydney would have taken a few days. We had the part on the trailer, so he was up and running by lunchtime Saturday," said Case IH Pro Harvest Support Manager, Barry Lofts. "At the beginning of this season a contractor was travelling north to begin the harvest when the windscreen on his harvester broke. He called the local dealership, which called the Pro Harvest trailer. He was able to have the windscreen fitted the moment he arrived, enabling him to start work the very next day as scheduled, so he didn't lose any time at all.
"The Axial-Flow design is simple and very reliable but we know that breakdowns can occur and we're committed to getting customers back up and running as fast as possible."
